Math Help Pricing (Is It Worth It and Why?)

On this page, I cover the pricing for Dave’s Math Help Service, in other words I describe different pricing scenarios. When ordering you are asked questions about the product your are purchasing: which subject, the difficulty of the problems, the number of problems, how soon you need the problems, and the type of product you are ordering. You can read about the service and about how it works, examples, testimonials, and the frequently asked questions.

How the Math Help pricing works

Subjects

There are currently six subjects to choose from Precalculus, Calculus 1, Calculus 2, Calculus 3, Linear Algebra, Number Theory, and Introduction to Proofs. I intend to add more subjects later. If you don’t see your subject, contact us to estimate when it might become available. The courses are listed in the order of increasing cost. In other words, a Precalculus problem costs less than a Calculus 1 problem, which costs less than a Calculus 2 problem, and so on.

Difficulty of Problems

By a “standard problem,” I simply mean a problem similar to one found in some textbook or similar to a problem given by an instructor. Problems that are beyond this I call “tough” and cost four times the price of a standard problem. For example, Putnam problems are tough. I do not guarantee I can solve every problem in the world. If I’m not able to solve your problem in the timeframe you choose, you will immediately be reimbursed. On this pricing page, in the examples below, I only consider standard problems.

The Number of Problems

You can order any number of problems between 5 and 100. For example, one hundred problems cost 100 times the cost of 1 problem. In the examples below, I consider the cases of 5 problems, 10 problems, and 20 problems so that you can see some sample prices.

Timeframe

Due to the volume of orders, the best timeframe is 7 days. However, the choices available are one day, two days, seven days, and fourteen days. The cost increases, the faster you need the order completed. In the examples below, I consider the case for 1, 2, 7 days.

Product Type

You will receive the solutions to your problems as a pdf file. There are two options available: the first option is the step-by-step solutions in a pdf file and the second option includes the pdf file and a YouTube video. Read about how it works in detail here and which option you should choose.
