About the Author of Mechanics and Relativity
Timon Idema holds a Ph.D. in theoretical biosciences from the Leiden University in the Netherlands. He has also conducted research at the Institute Curie in Paris, France and the University of Pennsylvania in Philadelphia. Now, he is an associate professor at Delft University of Technology’s department of bionanoscience in the Netherlands. In addition to mechanics and relativity, Idema has conducted several group studies on various topics, including biology of nano-scale tissues and proteins to macro-scale populations. He is a theorist who publishes research with several experimental groups. Plus, he teaches a wide array of courses, from introductory physics to geometry to courses on soft matter.
